Meet Adrian
NZTA qualified driving instructor, father of two, and genuinely passionate about helping people get where they need to go — safely.
I didn't start out planning to become a driving instructor. It happened naturally — when my own two children were learning to drive, I discovered how much I enjoyed the process. Not just teaching the mechanics of driving, but watching someone go from nervous and uncertain to confident and capable. That feeling never gets old.
After helping my kids through the full graduated licensing system, I completed my formal training and became a qualified NZTA-endorsed driving instructor. I've been teaching on Auckland's North Shore ever since — covering Albany, Glenfield, Torbay, Silverdale, Orewa, West Harbour, and everywhere in between.
What sets me apart isn't a gimmick or a package deal. It's the fact that I actually care how my students turn out. I teach people to drive the way I'd want my own children taught — patiently, thoroughly, and with an emphasis on real-world safety, not just passing a test.
I've worked with hundreds of learners across every level — first-timers who have never touched a steering wheel, anxious retakers who've failed before, adults converting overseas licences, and corporate fleet drivers. Every person is different, and I adapt my teaching to match.
I'm also genuinely experienced with neurodivergent learners — not just willing to work with them, but actively good at it. If you have ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or any other learning difference, I'll ask what helps, adjust how I explain things, and make the environment as low-pressure as possible.

My values
People first
Every student is a person, not a booking. I get to know how you learn, what worries you, and what you're working towards — and I teach accordingly.
Safety above all
Passing a test is the goal. Driving safely for life is the point. I teach habits that protect you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.
Community minded
I work closely with North Shore schools and families. I meet students where they are — literally. Home, school, work — wherever makes sense for you.
