Test day support
A familiar face in the back seat can make a real difference. If you'd like me alongside you during your test — not as the examiner, but as your support person — just say the word.
Available at Albany, Glenfield, Silverdale & Orewa
In New Zealand, you're allowed to have one support person sit in the back seat during your restricted or full licence test. They can't speak or help you — but they can be there.
For many learners, especially those with driving anxiety, neurodivergent learners, or anyone who has failed a previous test, that familiar presence is genuinely calming. I've heard from students that knowing I'm in the car changes how they feel walking into the test.
Someone who knows you
I've taught you — I know your strengths and how you drive. A parent or friend hasn't. That context matters.
Calm under pressure
I won't be nervous on your behalf. I'll be quietly confident, which tends to rub off.
Available at your test centre
I cover Albany, Glenfield, Silverdale, and Orewa — all the main North Shore test centres.
Especially useful for neurodivergent learners
If you have ADHD, autism, anxiety, or another learning difference, having a familiar, trusted person in the car during a high-stakes situation can meaningfully reduce stress and help you perform at your actual ability — not your anxious ability.
